Live, learn, work, eat and celebrate with us for two days of rich and diverse Ecovillage living. The event includes accommodation, all meals, workshops, cultural and social events, and active contribution to our food growing and land care activities.

Accommodation for Village Experience Weekend
There are two accommodation options, depending on availability.
Choose between B&B with a village host or camping on site BYO tent (or campervan)

Bed and Breakfast (BnB)
Share a slice of life with an Ecovillage family either onsite or living locally while they build. There are limited places available in the homes within the village. Other villagers have not yet built their homes, but can offer beds in their current homes in the local area, close to the village. Or be one of the first residents in our newly renovated onsite hostel accommodation, Paperbark House. You will be allocated to a double, twin or single room, inside or outside the village, as per availability, to match your needs.

To accommodate everyone and keep prices down, singles may be required to share a twin room. If so, we will match you with a person of the same gender. For those who are not willing to share a room, we can offer a limited number of “single supplements” to reserve a private room.

Booking early will increase your chances of a place inside the village. However, it all depends on availability of beds and rooms, so please accept that we will offer the best option we can for everyone. Visiting the village in this formative stage means you will experience the range of dwelling options that typically form the pathway to ecovillage living.

Breakfast will be provided for all BnB guests, but not for camping. You can also buy breakfast at the Coffee Cart, if you prefer on Saturday only.

There are limited BnB options which can accommodate children.

No pets. Assistance dogs are accepted.

Camping
An amenities block with toilets and showers is provided plus a basic camp kitchen. You can also buy breakfast at the Coffee Cart, which serves a range of organic breakfasts for meat eaters, vegetarians or vegans. We have a limited number of powered sites.

Pricing options (including two nights and all meals and activities)

  1. Shared room B&B per adult: $699
  2. Single room B&B per adult: $839
  3. Camping per adult: $359
  4. Children under 16: $100 each - for all options

FAQ
Question: What if the event is cancelled due to COVID?
Answer: #COVID CONTINGENCY PLAN: If the event cannot go ahead on the planned date, due to COVID restrictions or other emergency, we will postpone it to a future date.
In that case you will have two options:
1. Reschedule your booking to a future date at your convenience.
2. Request a refund. You will be refunded the full amount minus the booking fees of approx 10% of your payment.
Potential future dates in the event of cancellation: October 2023.
If at any stage in the future, up to a maximum of 2 years, you choose to request a refund instead, we will refund your payment minus the 10% booking fee.

Question: Can I just come for one day or can I come as a day student and not use the accommodation?
Answer: Sorry no. We are only selling the full package. This is designed to be an immersive experience where you live work and play fully participating for the two days. However, if you need to arrive late or leave early of course that is fine. But you will still have to purchase the full package.

Question: Can I stay in my campervan?
Answer: Yes, our camping option allows for vans. The price is the same as standard camping.

Question: I know pets are not allowed, but I have an assistance dog. Is that allowed?
Answer: Yes. Please mention this in the notes on your form so we can allocate dog-friendly accommodation.

Question: I require wheelchair access. Is this available at all venues?
Answer: Several venues and activities are not wheelchair accessible. Some workshops include outdoor activities on rough bush trails. Some activities include walking up fairly steep hills (on paved roads). Most workshop venues and toilets require going up one step. We have a folding removable ramp that could be put in place by an assistant. Camp sites require travelling over rough ground. Some B and B accommodation is wheel chair accessible, so this can be arranged if required.
The ablution block at the campsite has ramp access. However, the road between the ablution block and the campsite is a rough, gravel road with ditches.
